Wilton Yearbook...lots Of Cookie Ideas!

Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that the newest yearbook seems to have a lot more cookie ideas than usual. Even some of the cake ideas could be turned into fabulous cookies! I'm bummed, though, that they somehow read my mind and made Christmas cookies using mini's (pg. 56) just like I was planning to do!
Oh - I'm so excited to look at it! I buy myself the yearbook every year as soon as I see it on sale in the stores and then give it to my husband (without opening it up) to "give" me for my birthday in September... All through August and until my b-day I'm anxiously awaiting the day he gives it to me so I can look at all the new designs in the book!
I do that with things throughout the year... any time I see baking or decorating toys!! The only thing he really ever has to worry about is our anniversary - I refuse to help with that one!

My husband is somewhat "present" challenged, too. If I want something, I buy it for him to give to me! No returns that way.
Truth be told, he really isn't all that present challenged. He gets me wonderful anniversary gifts - and we do the "traditional gift" list for each other every year, so it takes a lot of creativity!
I just feel guilty buying myself toys for the kitchen that I don't really *need*, so this way I can save him the trouble of shopping (which he hates) and I get what I really want without feeling guilty! It's win-win!! And, by the time I actually get the gifts, I've usually forgotten most if not all that I've given him to give me, so I get excited every time!

2011. It has a lot of fondant animals on the cover...very cute.
bonniebakes, I'm so jealous! My husband would just as soon never buy a gift in his life! I learned that if I want something for him to "give" me, I must buy it myself. Oh, well. There are worse things in a husband.

My hubby is the same way. I have to tell him what I want and thats usually only for my birthday and Christmas. Anything else, I just buy it myself! LOL

I bought a Wilton set of 18 or more mini Christmas cutters last year, and made a bunch for hubbies office. I did not do any intricate decorating, cause those guys just pop them in! They seemed to go over just as well as my full size cookies!
I should've bought them when they went on sale after the holidays last year, but of course, I didn't! I've got quite a few that I purchased on-line, and can't wait to give them a try.
