I made gum paste flowers for a wedding cake and noticed the guests were eating the flowers. Not very tasty in my opinion. So I was thinking maybe there is a way to make chocolate clay and make flowers with that. Or does someone have a great tasting recipe or other ideas?

I got a recipe from my local baking specialty store and it is for one pound of chocolate melting waffers melted and 2/3 cup of corn syrup. I like it but you should cut back a little bit on the corn syrup in my opinion. once the chocolate is melted mix in the syrup it becomes really thick and hard to stir and I chill it for a couple hours in the fridge before I use it.

I use 1 bag of Wilton candy melts and 1/3 c corn syrup and I don't refrig., When you pull it out in this hot weather you will get alot of condensation. I just used some to make a woman and she definitely got soft in the heat. I don't think your flowers will completely melt but they may lose their shape a little.
