I was asked to sell cupcakes at a local business that is having a fundraiser, I am a home based business and want to present a very professional looking booth I already ordered post card and a banner form vistaprint (I got them and business card for free just paid shipping!) Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you for taking the time to reply

Make sure you top your booth/table with proper linens...Varigated heights of stands/platters to present your cupcakes...very pleasing to the eye.Presentation is key..it draws customers to your booth when they see something professional and unique.Have lots of handsouts like brocihures and business cards.Have a clipboard or something similiar to collect email addresses etc..Establishes a customer base.Maybe a draw for a free cake or small discount.

The Drawing for either a cake or small discount is a great idea!!! I would never have thought of that, and thank you for you other advice. I really appreciate it

Check the regulations. In Ohio, it all has to be covered, sold packaged, and every one labeled. Don't forget your portfolio!

Glass plates of different heights always looks pretty. I've stacked cheap dollar store glass plates with pedestals together for a nice very inexpensive look.

When I was doing a lot of catering tuna cans were my friends! I'm assuming you don't have a huge space, so probably 12 cans will do. Full of tuna the best.. or cat food--or water chestnuts, etc.. They work as hidden risers under the table cloth. And really cost you nothing because you'll use what's in the can at a later date.

Consider an apron with your logo and a name tag too

Search the bridal websites for dessert table set-ups for inspiration, or if you have access to trade magazines, use those. Over the years, I have torn out and saved dozens of images for this purpose alone... someday. icon_wink.gif Professional linens (ironed!), glass or white platers/plates, hidden risers, neutral colors, let your pastries and logo be your "pop" of color, and minimal to no "fluff" (the extra fabric lumped up here and there to create a cloud-like appearance on the table). I love the apron idea! Most of all, have fun!!! Take pictures so we can all see! icon_biggrin.gif
