I found this awesome recipe for homemade pop rocks, but it calls for citric acid crystals.

I do have theliquid, can I use that? here is the recipe.

scientifically speaking according to the recipe, I dont think you could use liquid.

why: recipe.. When you put the candy in your mouth, the sugar dissolves, and the citric acid and baking soda combine,

It sounds as if you need the crystals. maybe they dont melt completely at the temp given. if you add liquid it might react immediately.. which could also be fun!!

the quickest place to get them in at a liquor store that sells homebrew supplies. THey are like $3.50 a container.

Hubby homebrews or i would have no idea, except from cake supply shops.

ok got the citric acid!

Now just one more question.

In the recipe it calls for " a small about of water and a small amount of corn syrup"

How much should I use? I was thinking a tbsp of both.
