Hi there,
Please help me execute this one.I am supposed to make logo cupcakes for a Willow House party at my house.
I have a little idea of how I can make these.I will frost the cupcakes with Buttercream, probably a swirl. and then attach the logo plaques on top of the swirl.
I am lost on how to make the letters,w and h. should I use white frosting?
Any ideas, tips will be greatly appreciated. How would you execute a cupcake logo like this icon_smile.gif
Thanks.

For the "W" and "h", you could use a royal icing transfer, so the letters would come out exact. Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

I would do it all by color flow/RI...Just copies of the logo on a piece of cardboard and tape wax paper over them. Then use color flow mix (or RI) to pipe the circle. Flood it with thinned out icing. Then on another logo, pipe over the letters. Once all that is dry you can just put together.

The royal icing transfer is a good way to go and you can also do buttercream. I am not an expert on either of the techniques but have been tempted to try them after seeing them done on a video. The royal icing can be done by putting your logo under wax paper and piping over it. Do extras as some may break when picking them up with your palet knife or spatula. You can do butter cream in the same fashion but if I remeber correctly you should use food grade acetate and then freeze them before picking them up and putting them on the cupcake.
You may also do a chocolate transfer (colored white chocolate)
OR use a logo printed on sugar sheets if you have access to a food grade printer and back them with fondant with tylose and cut out with a cookie cutter.

i would do one of two options
1) Print the logos on edible image paper and then attach to fondant disc
2) Make a stencil with the "darker" area cut out - make white disc - then spray over the stencil with an airbrush so that the w & h are left on the disc
