I am looking for a good and moist marble cake recipe for a wedding cake. I have looked in the recipes and I can't find a good enough one that is moist enough and tastes good. Anyone have one they would love to share?

The last Marble I did I added 1 cup each vanilla pudding, flour, sugar, and an extra egg to a butter cake mix (on top of what it called for) and then added 1/4 cup cocoa powder to 1 1/4 cup batter.

I use a recipe from the Cake Mix Doctor. It's a Sour Cream Chocolate Marble cake. And I use a plain yellow cake mix instead of the marble cake mix. You can also use a white mix if you want. If you choose to use a marble mix, then you can use the package of cocoa that comes with the mix instead of the melted chocolate.

1 cake mix
1 cup water
1 cup sour cream
3 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 ounces of melted semi-sweet chocolate.

Combine all of the ingredients except melted chocolate on low for 1 minute. Stop mixer and scrape sides of bowl. Increase speed on mixer to medium and beat 2 minutes more. Batter should look well combined.

Spoon out a cup of batter into a small mixing bowel and stir in the melted chocolate.

Put into your pans and marble.

Bake at 350F for 26-30 minutes, until they spring back when lightly pressed. This makes 2 9" layers.

I use my white cake recipe and chocolate cake recipe. Mix one of each up and then marble in the pan. I already know that both of these are really good and moist, there's no question then on how the marble will turn out.
