I recently sent a follow-up email to a customer about a recent cake. Her response was very positive, even saying "We'll go to BackAches for all our events!"

Umm, what?

My business name is BosCakes, not BackAches...

Was this a Freudian slip or what???

still makes me laugh!

I think they have an iphone, because if you don't cancel the suggested world by their dictionary they will go itself and it happened to me before if you are driving or you don't hav your glasses on you can make a lots of mistakes. I will say don't worry about it.

Im definately going with the auto-correct spelling theory; I check my email on my cell most the time, and it ALWAYS changes words to outlandish things when I'm replying! haha! Don't worry about it!

Ohh.. people aren't so subtle anymore! You'd know it if she was trying to insult! My vote goes with the spell check!

This is part of why it took my kids so long to get me to the texting world (and I don't even have room to list all the rules I have if someone texts me! icon_lol.gif ). I hate a machine that THINKS it's smarter than me and THINKS it knows what I'm trying to say.

My coworker texted her mom asking if she wanted to get "pedis" (pedicures) that evening and guess what the auto-correct ended up asking? She was pretty embarrassed...I've turned the auto-correct off on my phone to avoid similar humiliation.

Yep, definitely gotta love the auto correct/spell check functions. I had a work colleague (corporate environment) send an email to a client:

Dear Virginia .... dear old Mr spellcheck corrected Virginia to another word it thought more appropriate (think the girl version of the above corrected Pedis). She didn't realise until it had gone and was mortified!!
