Adding Chocolate Chips to cake batter ??? ...

Hi Cakers!

I am making a Chocolate Cake tomorrow. I would like to add some Chocolate chips.

Do I add the chips in the raw cake batter before I pour in the pans? Does adding Choc. Chips change anything in my measurements with the other ingrid. in the cake?

First, use mini chips. Then mix them w/about 1 cup of dry mix and add to batter. It changes nothing with the other ingredients.

I always add mini choco chips to my choco cake. I add them at the very end after the batter has been mixed. I have never added them to dry mix and they never sank to the bottom. HTH
