HI everyone,
Can you please advise the best way to do the middle tier (the blue one)? Shall i just carve the cake (i want to make sure i get the shape just right so i am a bit apprehensive about carving) Do you think an angel pan would work? or is there any other pan for such shapes.
Thanks a lot

looks almost like a pumpkin shape to me....don't you think? I wonder if it's just 2 bundt pans together like they do for the pumpkins and then iced and fondant over top?

Thank you for the response. all the bundt cake pans that i see have some design on the edges like ridge edges. Do bundt pans come with smooth sides as well?

never seen smooth (but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist)

pick one with smoothest design.

then build up the icing (like anyone will complain) until you have a smooth finish.

Aren't there some pans that have a curved edge? (Wilton decorator preferred? Not sure.) I'm wondering if you could bake two layers in those pans, and then put one upside-down and the other one right-side-up on top to get that shape... (?)

Thanks for all the replies. I think i'll use the contour pan.

the contour pan should work well enough, but that middle cake in the pic has those ridges....I guess it doesn't need to be exactly the same though right?? Gotta have a little creative license for your own design.
