I use regal ice ready to roll icing. Sometimes it looks like it has stretched and goes a bit cracked (like rhino skin), is there anything you can do to rescue it? Am I rolling it too thin or too thick?

you may try kneading in a little vegetable shortening to the fondant to help add in some moisture.

thanks never heard that before, will give it a go. Also when you roll out with fondant do you use icing sugar or cornflour?

are you rolling out too large a piece for the cake being covered, this can pull heavily causing the fondant to crack/ tear.I agree that you need to Knead well but do not overwork it at you will get air bubbles

yes I think I do probably get carried away with rolling out too big. Great advice, thanks.
