I recieved the giant donut shaped pans for my birthday. icon_smile.gif I'm wondering if anyone has any creative ideas for what to use them for (other than the obvious, a donut cake). I hate to have a set of pans that can only make one cake, and how often will people want a donut cake?

Alternatively, any ideas for making a donut cake particularly fun and/or delicious?

I've never seen these pans before, sounds interesting.

First thing that pops into my head is raft/lifesaving ring. Maybe for a cake with sailor, lifeguard, or any maritime theme.

Or you could use it to make a cake shaped like a tire, like for a mechanics birthday or something.

or like the photo a glazed doughnut with icing and sprinkles with homer simpson laying on it, since he loves food, for someone who likes the simpsons
