I have a 6", 8", 10" heart shaped cake I'm making for an anniversary. Due to the design of this cake (have made several times) I use the push in pillars. This cake is smaller then the previous ones I've made in this disign, and they don't make the scalloped heart shaped plates in odd sizes. Could I use the 8" plate with the 6" cake, 10" plate for the 8" cake or would that be cutting it too close to the sides of the cake the pillars are going into? I bought the single plate system that comes in the odd numbered sizes, (7, 9, 11) but they are smooth not scalloped and I'm worried about the cake design not looking as good. Suggestions? Thanks!
