I Need An Idea For A Thank You Cake For Daycare Staff...

Customer wants a cake for a thank you to the staff of 26 at the daycare her kids have attended for the last 5 years.
Any ideas?
How about an arrangement of cake pops in a nice flower pot with tissue paper and ribbon? Easy single serve treats for all of the employees...
Trace a child's handprint and cover the cake in that along with a cute saying?? Or maybe gumpaste hand prints on a cupcake? I know they make little hand shaped cookie cutters.
Just a thought...good luck!
Maybe do the baby blocks with different images made of fondant on each side of each block: a crayon, an apple, a handprint, a few different alphabets, but put Thank on one block and You on another block
I was a pre-school teacher for 13 years and I think it would be nice if you did handprints and footprints with fondant or gumpaste and write down the names of the staff members. and if they have a school logo you can put it on top.
good luck

That is great to hear! I have to switch daycares since my son is going to kindergarten, so I am working on a cake for the daycare teachers. I am making a handprint cake. I took my kids' handprints in paint and am getting edible images made and putting them all over the cake. Then I am writing the names of all the teachers, since they have had them all (been there since they were babies). Hope they like it!
