to double the Buttercream Recipe? I know I read somewhere that you shouldn't double, but I can't remember if it was for Buttercream or something else. I need lots of icing and really dont want to have to make it twice if I can double the recipe...LOL

as long as your mixer can handle it, go for it.

I double mine all the time. If I could triple or quadruple I'd do that too. I hate having to make a bunch of batches of icing. Anyone have a cement mixer they want to sell? Just kidding icon_wink.gif

i double and sometimes triple my buttercream recipe and have never had a problem with it. Like peg818 said if your mixer can handle it go for it! icon_smile.gif

My mixer will only hold 2 batches of buttercream at a time, so that's what I always make. I can't remember the last time I made a single batch. I wish it would hold more though!
