Hi everyone - I need help. Friends of my daughter asked me to make their wedding cake, which will be white, deep cranberry red and navy blue. I've checked several web sites for cranberry fondant colour, can't find it anywhere. I do not have an airbrush, so I was wondering if anyone out there has a formula for changing Satin Ice Red to Cranberry?

Maybe adding a little burgundy or maroon a little at a time then let it rest for several hours and see what color it is when it darkens. Then adjust color as needed.

Are you talking about a Wilton colour as Americolor doesn't have burgundy or maroon?

I have burgundy but it's chefmasters or wilton.

I tried the same thing this past weekend for my daughter's bridal shower cake...finally gave up and went another route...I couldn't get cranberry to save my life.

I am a newbie but will attach the cake I did - I didn't think it came out too bad. I used Duff's fondant - it was very soft - went on nicely but after it sat for a bit I started seeing lots of dimples.

I tried and tried to attach the pic - says there are more than 800 pixels? What the heck?!?!

Maybe adding just the teeeeeeniest bit of brown? Not sure if it will work, but that's what I'd try first, to darken the color slightly and take some of the edge off the bright red.

I also just noticed on the Joann website that they have a Wilton "Christmas Red" color. No idea how it's different from regular red, but thought it worth mentioning. Good luck!
