I am also from Arkansas. I am from Vilonia, about 40 minutes northeast of little rock. It is also nice to know that I am not alone.

I used to be! (I live in Tulsa now) I grew up near Fort Smith, and still have family in that area.

I"m in AR ~ about 13 miles south of Fort Smith, in Huntington.

I live near Heber Springs. Nice to see some fellow Arkansans here!

it is beautiful here. We have only lived here for a year, we moved from So. California. however, my family has lived here forever so I have been coming here my whole life. My husband fell in love with it several years ago so we put it on the list for a place to relocate to. I mean how lucky can a man get that he can walk outside golf in his backyard and then hunt or fish pretty much all year long. Plus my mom lives here so that is a huge bonus, instant babysitter for the kiddos

Wow thank you so much! I am actually an accountant full time LOL. I work in Fayetteville. I'd like to have my own shop someday, but at this point, not ready for the financial commitment and risk! I've just been doing them for friends and family, but I am looking for a commercial kitchen to rent so I can start making it the real deal and get licensed and all that.

Anyways, it would be great to keep in touch with all of you. Perhaps we can have a little mini "day of sharing" sometime. It would also be nice to be able to refer a client to someone if I need to!

We'll just have to keep it going so it stays popular and more Arkansans join in! We really need a cake club here. I thought that there was one but I've never heard where or how to get involved. Maybe it's out of Little Rock.

Jardot, I am also looking for a shared commercial space in Rogers/B'ville but have had NO luck either. I did find a caterer that was willing and excited about working together but they did not really have the room for me. Takes a lot of space for supplies and to spread out to do sugar work. I was also afraid that they might put something garlicky next to one of my cakes in the frdige - LOL!

I am just over the Missouri line, Springdale is about 50 miles south of me. Good to find other cakers so close by.
