How Do I Make Isomalt Gems Dangle From Wires??

I'm using Isomalt gems for the first time- need to make a "spray" of them dangling from wires (think chandelier type thing)... what's the best way to do this? Can I just heat the wires to piping hot and put them through? Anyone done this before? Thanks!!!!
I've never used isomalt but my first instinct would be to put a drop of liquid isomalt on the wire and then use that as "glue" to stick the already hardened gem onto it....???
Hopefully you'll get some help soon!
I always wanted to know how to do that too...or maybe they used thread? I was thinking about using a hot wire to create a hole too but if you have alot and that would take long and depending on how small the gem is too?
You could curl the end the wire and dip it in hot isomalt then attach, gives it a little more to hold on to. Let us know what works.
you can also lay the wire in the mold before you are pour the isomalt then after it sets up the wire is already running throught the gem
