I have a lady at work who has asked me to make her bridal shower for months now. Well the friend that is throwing her shower told her that she couldn't talk to me about her cake that she was going to make all the decisions. She sent me the picture last week and I respond back with a price and I never heard from her again until today. She said sorry I haven't gotten a hold of you but a friend of ours said she will make the cake. I just wish she would have told me sooner. Why do some people have to be so rude. I asked my co worker if the party had changed because I hadn't received an email back from her friend. She seemed surprised and told me that she would contact the women. I just don't understand some people I bet she never planned on contacting me in the first place. I try not to double book for the same day and told another lady at work that I was already booked for that date. Not only lost one cake but now two. UGH!

Don't count your chickens before the eggs are hatched! If you didn't have the deposit down for that cake then then the date was still open in my view.
Make sure you are getting a non refundable deposit to hold that date and if you don't have one then you can take other orders.
