I have an order for a baton shaped cake to feed 20 for a group of twirlers. I bought silver sparkles for the middle and am doing the ends white. I just need some ideas for construction. Please help!!!

What about using rice krispie treats to make the shank of the baton, cover in fondant, and carving two 8 or 9" cakes for the tips of the baton? Just a thought.

You could also carve a sheet cake into a baton or do a small 2 tier with a fondant baton.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually forgot I posted this and carved it from an 11x18. The problem was that I tried to do it all in one day. The cake was chocolate and very soft. The biggest pain to frost. I did two layers so I could have enough for 20 people. Next time I will freeze before I try to frost. I'll have to post some pics!!!
