We need a for sale section on CC!

A for sale section to sell our cake stuff of CC would be awesome. I have so many great cake decorating finds and would love to be able to share my bargains with you all on my favorite website. And who else better to by cake stuff from than people who actually know what it is and what its for!

Who else votes for a for sale section? I would pay!

I think that's great too! Although it would probably have to be monitored closely so it just didn't become one big huge ad page for businesses. I would prefer it to be just by private decorators or something.

I am thinking of all those speciality items that someone else could use. For example: Elmo cake pan.

It does not matter that I am selling it for less money - just as long as I know a CC'r is getting it and will be able to pass it along in the future too.

A barter system would be nice...or a library of sorts. It might take too much organization and well that can be tricky.

But great thought.

Like an ebay for CC. Or just a forum to list for sale or trade cake items. It would be awesome!

Maybe it could be set up like the photo gallery where you could list your stuff under certain categories.... and then PM the person if you want to buy or trade.

That would be really cool. I'd definitely buy. Maybe even have IndyDebi sell her famous (amongst us CC'rs) Buttercream Icing.

As far as selling personal items, it has been discussed and is not allowed on this site.

I can't see why you can't post about a deal or special from a retail site, as long as it is one that hasn't been blocked.

I guess it could really become more of a "ebay" and loose the great information source. That would be sad. OK I have read about "Blocked sites" since I have been on here. I have seen words blanked out, what is the story behind all that
