What Color Do You Think This Is?

I just bought a pack of the new duff colors and it had an electric pink in there that is that color. I think americolor makes one too. Hope this helps
Pink Cake Box claims to use Satin Ice, and their pink fondant is really pink. Could be that.

Yes, the pre-made Satin Ice is really, really pink.
Duff's Fondant at Michael's is also that eye-popping color. I bought some with a coupon and when I opened the bucket, I practically needed sunglasses
If you can avoid trying to saturate white fondant with that much color, you'll be much happier!

thxs for all of the quick replies. i wanted to use buttercream instread of fondant. but yeah i imagined that i would have to use a lot of whatever color it was. thxs again.
p.s. the giltter on the silver part should be rainbow disco dust correct? or do u think its silver disco?
Be wary adding that much liquid color to buttercream--it will most likely be bitter or taste "odd". You can sometimes correct for that by adding more flavoring extract to the buttercream.
The silvery dots look like rainbow disco dust to me. Be aware that Disco dust is finely ground plastic and although non-toxic, it's not edible. It's for decoration only and the dots should be removed from the cake before serving.

Looks like rainbow. I just got done using silver and this has other hues in it.

As for the Disco dust Buddy from the show Cake Boss just did an entire New York building cake covered in black panels and disco dust to resemble windows. They show them eating the cake and not removing the panels before serving. I use disco dust and have never had a problem. Everybody has their own opinions on this product but I don't really think he would take a chance with peoples safety if the product was harmful.

He also puts floral wire and floral tape directly into cake, which is just plain gross. Just because you see it on TV doesn't mean it's a safe or sanitary practice. I hope like hell that those black disco-dusted panels were removed before the cake was plated and served. I watched that episode but don't recall seeing anyone putting that in their mouths. I still have that episode on the DVR so I will be going back to see! Blech
I agree with Wilton's rose color, I get a nice hot pink with that.
Yep. Doesn't take much either. I love Americolor but it seems to leave an aftertaste.

I saw that episode and e-mailed them asking that they RETRACT that information because it is wrong.
I have posted on this numerous times and have included direct quotes from several manufacturers stating exactly what I said--it is for decoration ONLY and should be used on items that will be removed before eating.
I feel very strongly that there are very few people who really want to EAT ground up plastic, no matter how pretty it looks. I'm certainly one of those people.
We have enough crap in our food chain. I don't see the benefit to adding more.

It's a beautiful shade, the bow is great, and I love that black ribbon with the rhinestones on it. Where did you get it?

Actually, I think this is much prettier than the Fondarific pink, which is so bright it almost hurts your eyes

LOL. I have some left over so I will take a look at it in the morn. That is too funny.
Thanks! I made the ribbon. I got regular black then I attached a rhinestone trim I got from hobby lobby. kind of expensive so I prob wont be using again. I saw online that michaels has a similar design that is cheaper.

I picked up some black and some pink, each with a single strip of rhinestones, at Michael's last week. I'd love to find some like you made, though. I know what you mean about rhinestone strands being costly--even at good old Hobby Lobby!
