I'm getting ready to do this tonight. Are you just rolling it out, or using it to make a figure? I'm going to figure route, so I'm just going to put the OD green on and put splotches of tan, brown, black, etc. on top of it. If I were to roll it, I'd start rolling the green a bit, then I'd put the little spots of other colors on top of and roll it all out together. Hope you figure it out!

I made camo fondant just last night to cover a 12 in. round cake. after making several shades of brown and green, i just tore off pieces and arranged them onto my Wilton roll & cut mat. i then ran my rolling pin over the blotches in order to meld the colors together. This created the PERFECT camo pattern. HOWEVER as i went to put it onto the cake, the fondant WOULD NOT separate from the mat! After re-coloring new fondant and rolling the blotches onto wax paper, it released MUCH better and was still an ok camo pattern.

I did this a couple of weeks ago. I took brown, tan and green fondant and rolled each on in a "log". I twisted the 3 together then rolled it out. Worked like a charm for me! HTH!

We had a co worker who was going into the army so I made this cake for him as a send off. At that time I didn't use much fondant. Pain in the butt. I had to outline each shape fill it in and smooth with a paper towel.
