I am new to cake central and fairly new to decorating. They are right when they warn you that this site is addicting! Kudos to the creators because I can't even begin to tell you how much I have learned from this and it gets all my creative juices flowing. Just wish I had more time in my day to practice. Maybe if I could walk away from the computer and this site.....

LOL!!!! I feel the same way. I went back to work from 8-5 for a while and went through serious CC withdraw!!!! I actually paid $1.99 a MB to access the site from my cell phone on my lunch break....Talk about an addiction!!!!

This is my first week back at home after 6 months working, and well, my house is a mess, the laundry is pushing it's way out the closet and into my bathroom, and the girls' rooms...well, that's a whole other type of disaster! BUT...here I sit, on the computer. I keep telling myself the house waited for 6 months, what's another few days right???? UUUGGGGGG!!!!!!

I love my husband, but he's not exactly a light touch with things and I've never wanted a laptop because I'm afraid it won't hold up, it's alot of expense for something that could easily be broken. Well, this website changed my mind. I let him get the laptop so I could spend more time on the desktop on this site. I made my first wedding cake and the vast information on this site was invaluable. I have so many favorite recipes and favorite photos it's unbelievable.

Welcome to CC!! It is very much an addiction!! I have never been so addicted to anything as I am to this site. I too have learned soooo much. There are so many very creative and talented people on here.. it just amazes me!! I learn something new almost every day!!

I am fairly new to cake decorating, and this site gets me so excited!! I visit multiple times daily. I am Addicted w/ a capital A. (But loving every minute of it, and learning so much along the way!)

Before we talk about interventions and chapters of CakeCentral Anonymous, let's get a few things straight. First of all, you've got to want to be helped, so count me out. I'm not anywhere near hitting rock bottom. Second, most addictions have no redeeming social value. This one does. If you don't believe me, ask anyone who's gotten a cake from me in the last year and a half! And, most of all, an addiction keeps you from doing the important things in life. Well, I don't neglect my family (as if they'd let me!) and they were already used to a messy house to start with! On the contrary, the effect has been positive: everybody's learned to pitch in to keep the place up since grandmommy has developed her excessive preoccupation with things confectionary! So yes, my name's Marianna and I'm a cake-a-holic! ...And proud of it, so go bother somebody else!

If I could quit my job and spend all day on here or in my kitchen practicing what I learned on here ... maybe have a laptop in my kitchen, I can multi-task like nobody's business ... I would. There is no cure, but that is ok, we don't need one.

I am new too...been on here for a few weeks now and I just can't stay away...I am really a birthday cake baker for my family but have great hopes of learning more and attempting the big time stuff! I am slowly starting to do that and I have taken all the classes at Micheal's so I just gotta get started on some projects..

Funny this should pop up when I came back in (ok... for at least the 6th time today). As I was typing the address in, I thought to myself, "here I am on CC again when I really should be working on those roses for my friend's cake this weekend." I'm hooked too and I learn so much!!

I suffer greatly b/c I don't have my own computer yet (mine broke). My son's computer is so advanced and has so many gadgets on it that I refuse to use it!!!.

I'm visiting my grandkids in Virginia Beach so I have access to a computer all week!!! .

However, I'm leaving Sunday and won't have access until I buy one hopefully in August!!!

So many tips and ideas I get from this site and I just adore McsMom!! she is fantastic!!!

My name is Delores and I've been addicted since February 2009, just in time for my cousin's wedding cake and my son's first birthday cake. Then i discovered WASC, which was a total hit at both events. I have learned more useful information on this site than i've ever learned anywhere. It's wonderful.

I am sooooo thankful I found this site, I came upon it by lookin up different cakes on google images. I had no idea what a wonderful world there was where I could learn soooo much!! I told my husband there are many of us that are addicted, that this is my ESPN!! I just ordered some cake dummies (great idea I found on CC) and can't wait for them to get here. I have an in-home day care and I cant wait til nap time to see what has been posted on here!

This thread is hilarios, because I was just thinking today, if anyone would ever admit on a post here how much they are on this site. I found it a few months ago, and have been on EVERY day for hours. As a matter of fact, I leave my laptop on the counter, logged on to this page, and just close the top when away, so I don't have to reload the page...password etc. LOL

I don't know what I'm gonna do when I go back to work full time
