Yes. It is not as gummy. You may have to experiment with the length you bake it. The Cereal get a little soggy with the melted marshmallows. This helps dry it out. I m in Texas where it is hot and humid. This technique has helped me here.

Training videos are an even better idea, now that I think about it. One question: it looks like you when you spread the fondant/gumpaste over the rice krispie base you have something wet on your hands. Is that actually what it is, and if so, could you tell me what you use?

I use vodka and sometimes water. I do a lot of blending. This is possible since the figure will be painted. If you were just relying on a colored fondant or gum paste, you would not Be able to do this.

No ,it just means, that you haven't lost the dreams and imagination of a child, a rarity in out world of "grown ups", that's the one thing my daughter taught me, even as a baby, to "re-see" the world with the eyes of a child. Our upbringing unfortunately often kills the "wonderment" (for lack of a better word) of life and the beauty and magic our world offers us

I was at home depot yesterday and they have solid copper wire in the Electical department in a like 5 sizes. This is the best stuff to use in the jionts. Drill your hole a little samaller then the copper wire and press it on. You can also Hot glue it after the you have it posed. Just make sure that you wrap the armature in a food safe material after.

Most do not believe me but the fact is, I have only been doing cakes for 2 years. You just have to believe in yourself and do it. I am not afraid of failing as much as Im afraid of not pushing it hard enough. I really do believe that is the difference for successful people.

If you look at my cakes here you will see them in order I made them. This is the 3rd. Some are great and some are not but I learnd somthing and tried somthing new on each of them.

I went to your photos and realized that I'd already saved lots of your things to my favorites. I saved a whole bunch more just now and left you about 5,000 comments. You seriously rock!!! Thanks for being kind enough to share your techniques with us. After you've been looking at hundreds of cakes every day for a couple of years, it's hard to find anything that really knocks your socks off, but your cakes do it every time!!!
