My sister in law gave me the 3D mini bear cake mold and I want to use it for my sisters baby shower cake. My question is how much cake batter do you put into the mold? I tried once and didn't use enough batter and it came out looking like an alien. Thank you ahead of time

I have used the 3D Mini Bear Mold several times. I have always used just a TAD BIT over the 1 Cup they state to use. Just to make sure my bear would bake full and strudy. They are fun to bake but, even though its small, prepare to get tired of piping all the little details. I DO, LOL. HTH

Thank you msthang1224. I have tried to find instructions for the pan but couldn't find any so this helps alot. I get tired out doing all the little details but I love to see the outcome so it makes it all worth it. icon_biggrin.gif

Here's the wilton stand up mini bear, but you can search by the term bear and pull up quite a few if this is not your style pan. The pan instructions are pdf files you can download.

I just made the teddy bear cakes using the same pans, I fill them to the tail, even if it over flows I just cut the bottom off. I followed the directions for the big teddy bear and It didn't come out right, my bear had no belly or feet icon_smile.gif So therefore I fill to the tail. They are so cute when they are finished..

It only works for me when I fill it almost all, use pound cake, and it overflows. Otherwise, it won't stand. I trim the base when it's completely cold. That way I know it will stand.
