I just bought some new Fat Daddios cake pans. I froze the cake layers after i baked them. I noticed that they slanted inward after I took them out of the pans. What on earth did I do wrong? I checked my oven it is level. I put parchment in the bottom of the pan. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem? Thanks, frustrated in East Texas

Hi Nanelle...welcome!

I'm certainly not the expert here, but I don't think you did anything wrong. I haven't used FD pans...if they nest inside each other, that may be the problem. They have to slant in order to nest.I had the same issue w/Wilton. It makes extra work trying to fill the gaps for everything to come out level. I have square and rectangle Magic Line pans and they have absolutely straight sides...take smore room for storage, but sooo worth it! Soon as my budget allows, I intend to buy the rounds in several sizes. HTH icon_smile.gif
