I just bought some new Fat Daddios cake pans. I froze the cake layers after i baked them. I noticed that they slanted inward after I took them out of the pans. What on earth did I do wrong? I checked my oven it is level. I put parchment in the bottom of the pan. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem? Thanks, frustrated in East Texas

I'm certainly not the expert here, but I don't think you did anything wrong. I haven't used FD pans...if they nest inside each other, that may be the problem. They have to slant in order to nest.I had the same issue w/Wilton. It makes extra work trying to fill the gaps for everything to come out level. I have square and rectangle Magic Line pans and they have absolutely straight sides...take smore room for storage, but sooo worth it! Soon as my budget allows, I intend to buy the rounds in several sizes. HTH
