That is, if you had to have on installed...(if you don't mind my asking) how much did it cost? How much was the trap, and how much were you charged for installation? I'm asking mainly the home bakers who had to install an in-line trap as opposed to an under the ground 11 ton huge thing. I know those who have a large business likely had to install a very large, very expensive grease trap.
The plumbing company quoted me $1500.00 for the grease trap itself, and $1700.00 to install it (1000 lb. grease trap, had to be installed underground). I found the exact same model online for $400.00 (including shipping).
Where I was looking for equipment for a small business, they quoted me less that $400.00 I hope this helps.
i paid 500...that included the install...under the sink unit, but that was almost 9 years ago
Mine was about $1000, installed. It was about 12" tall and a 12x24" rectangle that fit under my (commercial) sink.
Thanks guys. That helps a lot. The health dept. gave me quite a scare when she said, "the grease trap will be your most expensive part." If these prices are somewhat accurate for my area, you've all made me feel much better. I have to wonder how much kitchen equipment she's purchased with that comment, too.
