My sister wants us to get together to make a Father's Day cake for my dad. Her plan is for us to make a Schokostreusal Kuchen and then top the cake with a wheelbarrow full of the kinds of vegetables my dad grows in his garden. I suggested we make the veggies out of marzipan rather than fondant since marzipan veggies would be delicious but fondant ones would probably just be chucked out. My only concern is the wheelbarrow. I'm really uncertain how we can make it strong enough to hold a bunch of marzipan veggies.

Anyone have any suggestions? For example, what should we make it out of? My sister is thinking that we'd just model is out of the marzipan as well, but will it hold up? Should we make it out of, say, cookie pieces?
