I recently made one for a graduation, it was quite simple.

I searched the internet for a clip art of Hello Kitty, printed it out then used that as a template to freehand cut a fondant Hello Kitty face.

I have a Hello Kitty cake in my gallery. I just searched a cute pic off the internet, blew it up and carved it from a sheet cake and decorated with fondant. Gallery should have lots of other ideas too!

Go to the "Galleries" tab, and then hit "search". Type in "Hello AND Kitty". You will get 106 pages of ideas.

cocoasensations,
YOU have commercial links in your signature.
Why do you have a problem with someone else having a link to his/her own cake business?

I don't understand why I've been singled out, I am not the only one with a picture of my cake in this thread. I thought that was the whole point of this site, you call up and ask and we show and help out.

Eh, ignore her. You aren't doing anything different than anyone else.

You're here to show your work, see other people's work, and give and receive help.

Thanks for your support 7yyrt. I don't know you try and help someone and then you get attacked for doing it. Why do we bother sometimes.

It was really easy for me to make a Hello Kitty cake with 2 round pans (any size will do) and then I stuck the ears on using a single smaller round layer (cut into half then quarters and that makes two-two layer ears)

AI looked high and low on this forum to see if anyone had created a hello kitty cake from the teddy bear pan, and couldn't find it. Just wanted future cake makers like myself to know that it is possible. I just cut off the feet (trimmed a little on the sides) and then moved the cutoff feet to the bottom (I ended up cutting the feet down so they would fit at the bottom)

AOops would have helped if I posted a picture of the teddy bear pan I used as well.

AI really only make 'fancy' cakes about twice a year for my kids birthdays, but thank you so much for all these ideas and for the tutorial . My little girl is going to LOVE her 4th bday cake and party!
