I had some questions on my cupcake bouquets, so I thought I would post the helpful how-tos I used to get me through it.

Here is a step by step guide I used for assembly, but because I had the leaves in the way I did not glue mine, but had a dowel that went through the styrofoam and in to the base

I forgot to mention the tip I used for the rose swirl was 2D.

For the bases (series of pics below):

I had several super long stemmed fake roses that I cut sections off to make the bottom of the bouquet look more real (pictured below). Clustered them together with a dowel in the center, and I wrapped it first with floral tape. I then squeezed in the leaves where I wanted them, placed it in the vase and adjusted the leaves to where I wanted them before adding the ribbon to finish it off. Wrap it like you would a bridal bouquet.

I secured and embellished with red tipped pins and ribbon roses.

I hot glued the base of the flowers to the bottom of the vase, then added the sparkling gems. Push the styrofoam over it, then covered with tissue paper (may need to lift it off the dowel then put it back on so tissue stuffs under the ball).

For the cupcakes I used green foil. Either green or whatever color flower you are making will help give a more realistic effect.

Hopefully this helps. I had to do this rather quick, so I hope the pictures help for the bases.

As for the fake roses. After I cut 3 sections off each I still had a long stemmed rose for making an arrangement. I also got them on sale for practically nothing. To help cost you might find a substitute (maybe even sticks from your yard) and wrap the ribbon the entire length so no stems show at the bottom.

It took awhile for people to realize these were the cake. Many people asked who did the flowers. icon_surprised.gif)

Even better it was a self serve cake item. People just plucked off the cupcake they wanted....worked great!
