Upside down 14"heart shape pan sculpted to a "V" shape, I did not torted nor use any dowels icon_confused.gif Do you think I should? Anyway, Vanilla rum cake, simple syrup added too, with dulce de leche and buttercream frosting iced ,fondant covered, fondant decorations.dimmensions: lenght 13", width at bottom 13",width at top almost 5"length of wings one is 4 1/2" the other is less than 4"(measure from "CROCHT" hight of CROCHT 2" I was told before attempting to standing up to let stand until next day, which is today. This morning I put it on an easel, I got in Michael's with a little inclinationas you can see in pictures ( icon_surprised.gif if I manage to upload!)After 1/2 an hour it had slip down by almost an inch, I left it like that. After almost 2hrs more slipping and syrup leaking(posted pictures) After noticing at this time that the fondant is coming off at bottom by the "wing,iI took it off the easel beause I do not want to eat a dry cake., " Do you at least think that it looks as a "FLYING V GUITAR???? icon_redface.gif This was just practice!!I will be starting the real cake on thursday, decorate on friday, stand it up(not so straight!!!) on saturday evening. This is for my mothers friend will be getting paid for ingredients.I will be making the long top part also i just did not do it at this time because I think that is the easy part,(except for the strings(back to Michaels!! I forgot to get something for the strings)Pls if somebody has any suggestion I would be so grateful!! icon_smile.gif I need all the help I can get. THANK YOU!! By the way this is not the color for the real guitar it will be ELECTRIC BLUE, I will try to include pics of my ordeal icon_redface.gif CIAO

Not sure how you're planning to do the neck, but I've seen a couple on here that used RKT instead of cake and it makes it look much more realistic. The guitar in my pics was my first carved cake and I was just getting started - if I had it to do over (and with several months of caking behind me), I'd use RKT for the neck and try to stand it up. Good luck! I look forward to seeing a pic of the finished guitar.

I was thinking of using foam for neck because of weight.I have never worked with ricekrispies but I am thinking about it now. Thank you thumbs_up.gif . I will check and see if I can find a tutorial on it or instructions. Thank you again! CIAO
