Hello everyone! I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a cake mix based recipe for a Chocolate cake? Basically, I have seen where people talk about using a cake mix as a base and adding extras or changing the amount of eggs etc... I have a chocolate fudge cake mix and want to make an awesome chocolate cake with out having to do all the work of making it from scratch. Any suggestion, tips, hints would help. Thanks in advance!

I use the WASC recipe with dark chocolate fudge mixes and they turn out WONDERFUL! The only thing I change is to use vanilla instead of almond extract, and I make 1 cup of chocolate milk and use that. icon_biggrin.gif It is especially delicious with mini chocolate chips added!! HTH! icon_smile.gif

This thread has kakeladi's original and Rebecca Sutterby's WASC cake recipes (and variations):

Here's a thread that has all the extender/enhancer recipes:

I have used the WASC choc version but recently switched to BC Triple Choc fudge for my box mix and wow...it really improved this recipe.
Hope that helps.
