add yellow to it = )
I was making grey fondant one night and I had the same problem...it wasn't until my boyfriend said "add yellow, duh!" and I looked at him like 'WHAT?! how did you know that?!" It works! Just add yellow in small amounts until you get the grey color
Ahhh thats great thanks, how on earth DID you boyfriend know that lol? I wouldnt have ever figured putting yellow in would make it grey!
Thanks S x
what kind of fondant are you using?. All I ever do is add a little black. I'm particular to Fondarific. I just made a grey cake..check it out under my pics...
I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago, except mine turned blue! The first time I used Wilton fondant and black coloring. After reading a few threads on here I bought some Satin Ice fondant and Americolor black coloring. The second elephant I made turned out great (the first one turned blue the next morning)! I also learned to it sit for a little bit, the color seemed to get a little darker. Hope that helps!!!

In is cake the gray, I put just a touch of black in my white and only add as needed and you need be vey light handed with the black...there is either a hint of green or a hint of red in black, don't give up keep kneading it and add a bit more. hth
