Hi CC'ers

I discovered the technique of applying ganache under fondant this weekend and I heard that the full instructions can be found in the cake decorating book by Planet Cake.

Does anyone have a copy of this book, or at least have detailed instructions on how to accomplish this technique? I'll really appreciate it.

I tried searching for it online but was unable to find a copy.

Many thx

Stacey

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean about "how to accomplish this technique". Is there something else to do other than ice your cake with ganache and then cover it with fondant?

I know that Planet Cake has a great tutorial on youtube "how to cover a cake with fondant" and the cake she is applying the fondant to has been covered with ganache. She applys a thin coat of simple syrup with a pastry brush before applying the fondant then uses two fondant smoothers to smooth the fondant. She explains the technique of using two smoothers at once to get a sharp edge on the cake. Maybe this tutorial can help you find what you're looking for. thumbs_up.gif
