I really do hate this question, but I was just charging $1 for these cookies. It took me FOREVER to make them (they needed 75). I've been asked to do some more but I really don't know a reasonable price for them. They are 5", NFSC recipe with MMF. The "S" is 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. What would you do?

I just did 4.5" round with a round pink fondant circle with names in RI and I charged 3.50 for each. She didn't bat an eye. I'd charge 4.00

BTW the cookies are beautifully done!

Does the person who ordered them know you used to charge $1? if so thats a pretty big jump if they've already ordered, but you were seriously undercharging for a 5" cookie. they are very cleanly done. I agree with the $4 suggestion. Nice work.

Gosh......your cookies are very well done and a lot of work. I do hope you will have

I start with $1/inch. So my base would be $5/ea, i don't do fondant so I am not sure if my cost would be covered using it, so maybe a little more.

Also, depending on how you did the initial, might be a little more for the time.

People in my area would balk at any cookie price above $2, so you guys who are able to charge $1 per inch are very lucky!

Yes, I would agree, $4 easily. What about just piping the inital in royal? That would save you a lot of work!

i would sit and twiddle my thumbs before i would charge 1-2 dollars for those beautiful cookies. $3.00-$4.00 for those beauties. like i,ve said before, if they got the money , honey, i got the time. lol

I almost fell off the couch when I read you charge $1. OMG that probably doesn't cover your material, supplies the electricity not to mention the wear on your equipment. I calculate $1./square inch, more than fair to charge $4. per cookie. What's the point making cookies at the cost when you left feeling frustrated & tired.
