I have a request for a New Moon cake for my pastor's daughter who is turning 12. They are on a budget of no more than $40 for a cake to feed about 30 ppl. Thank you!

How about a cake to feed 30, and just do a BC Transfer?....pick either the book cover or something with that movie....that would be pretty simple...you can add twirly ribbon on the edges.....
Just an idea....

I would add a border to the top, and maybe a silk rose or real....and ribbon

maybe a white cake, black border, red ribbon or other way around...maybe even checkered top

white cake, red border, and maybe a checkered ribbon around it...

just a few ideas, I just did a new moon cake search for images...good luck!!!

I did a similar version of Bella's Birthday cake from the movie for my dd's new moon release party.

Cover two tiers in White fondant or just use BC and cut multi colored strips of green. Then accent with artificial flowers. You could easily leave the silver letters off or you can order them on eBay for less than $10 total.

I made this little cake Monday. It was easy with the help of the "Oh-so-talented-and-helpful" Diane's tulip tutorial. I wish I had added a chess piece, but know - hindsight...

Okay...technical difficulties icon_confused.gif . If you want me to email you a pic, just pm me your email address.

I somehow got the photo to upload in my album...it's a good thing I can cook, because the whole technology thing is a challenge for me icon_redface.gif .
