Kim is right. Ganache isn't something you can use for this.
mamawrobin - Do you add anything to the chocolate chips or just melt and dip?
I add 1 Tablespoon of shortening for each cup of chocolate chips.
I buy the candy chocolate from the ghiradelli store. It comes in white and milk chocolate.
I used chocolate chips with a little veg. oil and it set up when in the fridge, but back to room temperature it was soft. I was hoping it would set up like a candy shell.
