Wilton tip 1M will give a nice swirl.

I dip the tops of my cupcakes in a bowl of soft melted ganache, but it smooths itself out and doesn't leave a swirl -just a smooth shiny glaze. icon_smile.gif

Ganache is too thin to hold swirls. You might want to try using chocolate mousse. I've made swirls with chocolate mousse and they held up fine.

If you put the ganache in the fridge to firm up it will make a beautiful swirl. After it's firm, take it out and whip it up in your mixer if needed to get it to piping consistency. I've used it before and it's gorgeous and tastes delicious!
