Hi All! I am new here and am looking for advice from fellow GA bakers. I have looked in to my counties law's and unfortunatly I cannot bake from my home in my county. I have heard that in certain counties it is legal to bake from your home as long as the kitchen is seperate from your home kitchen and it is an approved "commercial kitchen".
Can any of you confirm this for me and tell me what counties it is legal in. I am happy to do the research but there are so many counties in GA I don't know where to start!
I would be VERY grateful to all of you "legal" bakers if you can tell me what county you are in.
Thank you so much!!

I believe the Agriculture department is where all of this is kept. I don't believe there are any counties in GA that allow home based business unless you do have a commercial kitchen. There seems to be a lot of restrictions such as no animals, kids in area. Everything has to be labeled/stored in a specific manner and the ability to clean (washing floors, etc) is stipulated. I still consider myself new and finally just decided I would do for grandchildren and other things where I wanted to give the cake. Working full time it doesn't leave much spare time.
