Just wondering if anyone knows how these flowers were attached on this cake. I have a request for this particular design next weekend and not sure how they were done? Thanks

I'm not an expert, just a hobby baker. I would make the stems of a fondant and gum paste mixture . Roll or pipe into ropes, cut to length, let them dry then assemble using royal icing for "glue". I'd wrap the bow on the stems and attach it to the cake first then add the flowers. Good luck. I'm sure some other members will have ideas that will help.

It looks like it's done in 3 parts, the flowers, the stem, and the bow covering the gap. Maybe the flowers were done on wires and then put on the cake?

I am pretty sure the flowers are done on wires, I am just wondering how the bouquet is staying on the cake???

Actually my client wants hydrangeas instead of the roses, so one more challenge! Ha!

The flowers actually look like they are in a cluster, and then attached to the cake. The stems and bow are completely seperate...actually in the cake you can tell the stems are not even attached to or touching the flowers!

The ledge of the cake is helping support the flower cluster.

I am only a hobby baker but it looks like they might have used a posy pick for the flowers because of the angle the flowers sit at. The stems and bow have definately been added separately from the flowers. It is a stunning cake...

Hi all! I absolutely love that cake - it's one of my all time favourites! I'd love to know how to make it too! I have Pink Cake Box as one of my friends on Facebook, so I asked Anne if she'd be willing to share with us how she made it. If I hear back from her, I'll let you all know.

The flowers are done by wiring them together in the cluster and then you want to stick a drinking straw into the cake to put the wire in, add some melted white chocolate to keep in place. The stems and done separate and also can be glued on with white chocolate. This is how I would do it. If Ann gives you her way of doing it I would love to know also!
