Grandkids' Dilemna: Cookies Or Cake?
Decorating By indydebi Updated 4 May 2010 , 11:58pm by indydebi
Both grandkids' birthdays are in May, so daughter has one party for the both of them. I've said they could each have their own cake or they can combine whatever theme they want or we can make the cake for one of them and the other gets their choice next year. whatever ... I'm good for what they want.
So I suggested to daughter that maybe we could make a cake for one and cookies for the other, just for variety.
8 yr old granddaughter says soccer balls are round so they should be the (round) cookie. 3 yr old grandson is yelling, "Spiderman cookies! Spiderman cookies! Spiderman cookies!"
Here I was worried about them fighting over who gets the "main cake" and they are fighting over who gets the cookies!
Of course gramma CAN'T disappoint either of them, so we'll probably have both!
yeah watch indydebi show up with a spiderman bust cake, a 3-d soccer ball cake and cookies in both themes too!! LOL
IndyDebi,
I love the photo. I have not been on here for a while but you did not have a photo.
Well my dear, for one, you should do Spiderman playing soccer!
Secondly, you are less than 2 hrs. from Cincinnati. My dear woman I would hope to see one of your creations in the Queen City Cake Show next year.
Please tell me that you will think about it. We are not that far. I am in your neck of the woods all winter with my kids playing hockey. Day trips all the time. If I can drag hockey bags you can drag a cake.
Hope to see you soon.
My daught DID suggest a soccer field with spiderman carrying the ball!
chiaro, I just might do that as long as it doesn't fall in "finals" week at school!
