Anybody wanna help me spitball?

I'm a custom cake shop.
Cake only, no other desserts now.
I'm a redhead.
I'm obviously into karate

I'm apparently not name creative! icon_lol.gif

ALL ideas appreciated.

Some ideas I've had: (don't laugh...I'm no good at this) I'm not attatched to any of these...they're just some of the ideas I've come up with so far.

Sweet Art by Stacie
Create Me A Cake
Samurai Cakes
Frosted Dreams
(The) Lady of the Cake

I've got tons more. But my DH says none of them pop (including the above mentioned.)

Tiers of Joy is already taken, as is Sweet Art of Mine thumbsdown.gif

Gah! I hate this.

I know it's not helpful but cakechick made me think of it:

Number One Cake Place (say it with an asian accent... you know you want to!)
or maybe..
Shiny Dragon Cake House

sorry, I had to teehee, I'll try and think up something more useful after a full night's sleep! icon_biggrin.gif PS I do like the idea of adding asian flair to the name, so I'm not trying to be insulting or anything. I just live near too many Chinese takeout places...

Samurai Sweets

Karate Cakes

Stacie Cakes

Sensei Sweets

Red...............Dragon...................Cakes
(your hair)......(your love of karate)

I really like Sweet Art by Stacie but your including info on Karate and being a red head makes me think this is a bit more "sweet and girly" than what you wish to portray, is that right? If so I LOVE KHalstead's Red Dragon Cakes - if you are trying to add a bit of Asian flair and maybe reflecting your fiery personality as well. It is early on the west coast (brain is slow)so all I'm picturing is Bruce Lee attacking ninja with really hard cupcakes so maybe "Hiii - yaaa! Cakes", again reflecting your love of karate but, perhaps not... icon_wink.gif

Hey, I've got 2 black belts, so that would work! I gotta say, though, Red Dragon Cakes is my favorite of those. Thank you! All of those are much better than anything I've come up with.

That would be easy to create a logo around, too!

would be really cool to have a 3 tiered wedding cake with a red dragon swirled up around the cake!

i really like the name "samurai sweets." and the logo could incorporate a samurai knife cutting a cool looking cake that had chinese lettering on it. your tag line could have the words "slice" or "cut" ie. "our cakes are a cut above the rest" Or "come have a slice of zen"

Personally, I would avoid putting anything about karate or the like. You don't want to confuse potential customers...i.e. Customer: Wonder what Karate Cakes is? cakes or karate class. Or: Do they just make karate specific cakes?

Just remember, when people see/think about your name the first thing you want them to think about is cakes so if you add two different specific categories you risk people overlooking your company. IMO

i hear what matt (mayo2222) is saying and how it could potentially confuse customers.

maybe it could be broader like, "Zen Cakes" where "we make the cake experience a relaxing one." you could still have the logo a cake adoned with chinese lettering to spell ZEN

"Chop-Chop Cake Shop"
(I can see this one with one of those logos you guys were dreaming up... maybe one with all black line art of a simplified chef with red for her hair and a red cherry blossom on the cake in front of her)

"The Cake Dojo"

When my son took karate, they did a series of moves called "katas"; so what about something like Kata Cakes? If you liked Tiers of Joy but it is taken, how about Tiers From Heaven (is that taken?)? My friend always dreams of opening her own sandwich shop and wants to call it something like "Get Some Sandwiches" so that when people head to her shop they will say "I'm going to Get Some Sandwiches"! Maybe something along that line would work.
