Also forgot to mention KHalstead, I just got a new camera. It is a Nikon Coolpix 122, and wasn't very expensive. It has a setting to take pics of food thumbs_up.gif

You don't have to adjust it or anything, just use that setting, so it is great for me. I usually take rotten pics, but since I got this camera, it has been easy to take better ones.

I didn't either, but I got my Mom a Coolpix for Christmas. She brought it with her when she came to visit, and I got to playing around with it and found that setting.

Needless to say, as soon as I could, I bought myself one.

The designs in the background are made with patchwork cutters dipped in luster dust. It doesn't take much dust, I usually dip the cutter in, then tap it on the table a couple of times to get some of the dust off, you don't want any of the openings clogged, just the edges coated. Kind of like stenciling.

I'm an idiot. I had to make baseball cookies for my son's school's spring program ("Sermon on the Mound" heehee) and I forgot to hold back some dough to make some nautical cookies. icon_cry.gif

They really aren't words, just a design in the background trying to replicate sea grass. My piping skills are not good, and I have to find a way around that, so this is what I came up with.

I use the technique often for vines, leaves and what not. Anywhere I would like to cover a little space. It is how I made the vines and leaves on the pumpkins and the design on the acorns in this bouquet.
