Hi Everyone! I am attempting to make bows for 3 cakes: a 6" 8" and 10". Do I make all the strips the same length? and should the bows be different sizes according to the cake or shall I keep them all the same. Any information on making "perfect" bows would help.. THANKS

Check out the "Sticky" at the beginning of the "How do I" Forum for "Hundred of Free Tutorials Here". There are four or five on making bows.

There is also a video on youtube on making bows..... it's great! Me personally.......I would make all the bows close to the same size, but that's just me icon_biggrin.gif

thank you for the advice. I also need to learn how to make a fondant bow. I have checked on youtube but all they have is videos on how to make the loopy bows. I need to make one that has numerous layers, you know those big puffy ones. I did see one lady making one but she didn't explain what it was she was using to "glue" it together with, it was something white it wasn't very informative.... I have been trying to take the fondant/gumpaste class at michaels with no luck. first the instructor at one store never called me back no matter how many messages I left than I went to another store and registered for a class that was supposed to start this wed and it has been canceled.. I guess I wasn't meant to do fondant..

I don't quite understand what kind of bow you're talking about. If it has numerous layers and is big and puffy, how is it NOT a loopy bow? I have loopy bow instructions below my signature. They may help with whatever kind of bow you're trying to make.

Hi Laura,
I'm not sure if this is the type bow you are looking for.....but I LOVE this style bow. You can use water as "glue"
