I made some fondant roses about two weeks ago. How long will they be usable? A friend has asked for a cake and I would like to use the roses.

The fondant dries hard and the roses will last for ages - months and months. Store them carefully and handle them gently to minimise breakage though. They'll be very crunchy, so only small children (and slightly strange people icon_wink.gif) will eat them.

Regards,
Cris.

Thank you for your response.
I have stored mine in a sealed plastic container. Is that all that is required?

Yep - what Cris said. If you store them safely inside a container with some plastic wrap or bubble wrap to help protect them, they'll be here with the cockroaches and Twinkies when the rest of us are gone? icon_wink.gif
