Are these cookies worth the prices?

I need some advice on my cookie pricing. Im not quite sure if im charging enough. In my area not many people sell fondant covered cookies. Im Starting out at $4 minimum per cookie and the range goes up to $8 per cookie with a minimum order of 6 cookies. Would you pay that much for a cookie? Should I go higher? Lower? In NC.

These are just a few examples. I tried to put the pics in order of price range:

1. $4.00
2. $5.00
3. $6.00
4 & 5. $8.00

WOW! Your cookies are AMAZING!!!!!!! icon_surprised.gif I would say you are not charging enough. I just love the wedding dress ones and your website is top notch.

I look at it this way. Most people who order these cookies order them for favors. I can not do a really cute party favor for less than $5 each so I think $4-$8 for those cookies...especially the dresses are perfectly valid prices. The real question is if your market will support that. I would not charge less for the dress cookies because first I have never seen anything like them before and 2nd, that is a LOT of work. I think your work is definately a higher caliber than the average "cookie bouquet" type cookies so you should charge according. Compare your prices to the cookie bouquet shops in your area and up charge appropriatelyicon_smile.gif

Your cookies are sublime (not just those here, but on your site as well--I adore the cameo ornament cookies) and I would say worth EVERY penny, and then some!

Unfortunately, I can't say what your local market will support, since I have no knowledge of the economics of that area, but with all the work that goes into them, I cannot imagine you charging any less!

Thanks guys for the comments. Your input is appreciated. I feeling better about my prices but im worried about the market im in. Either way I still want to sell them somewhere even if the market here wont buy them at my prices. Does anybody know about selling products in other states?

OMG, those are amazing!!! Love your website too! I think the prices are completely right on. That is a ton of work and you deserve to be paid accordingly.

Wow your work is amazing (as everyone has said already) I have not seen cookies like these before.

I definitely think you could charge more (expecially for the cakes and dresses) I know you're worried about if your market can handle it, but it's all about marketing to the right people. With your prices you already know that not everyone can afford you, and that's ok. Look for higher end places to link with that brides would be using for other areas of their weddings. Country clubs... high end wedding venues....

I also think you could probably do well selling online and shipping, but not sure what the regulations are to do that, I think that varies state to state on how you can ship out, but not sure. I know I have seen post previously talking about this, but I don't remember what the answer was or who they talked to about it.

What part of NC I guess would be my question. The cookies are gorgeous! Okay, went to your site & saw you are out of Raleigh. I think in that area, the prices are right on. I lived in Jacksonville at Camp Lejeune, which is why I was asking, gorgeous as your cookies are, no one would want to pay more then a couple of dollars for them in that area, which they deserve so much more.

Are you kidding me?!?!?! Your most basic would be at the highest price and your most elaborate would be at least $20. I know your in N.C. and I still think that is fair pricing. Your most elaborate in bigger areas is at least $40. And yes, people do charge and get those prices.

I am so in awe. Those are truly original and true works of art.
