Cake Budget - $100
Um yeah Walmart won't even sell you a cake to serve 400 for $100.
You can't even buy the ingredients for a cake to feed 400 people for $100.
Cake Muggles...gotta love 'em
Those "lead" sites get to me! I've been on a couple but they are all low budget! I think the ones with a "real" budget also care enough to do their own legwork instead of signing up on websites hoping vendors write to them and hand them a cheap easy service!
That's amazing... The thing I find frustrating about eventective is that all you can do is accept or reject a lead. You can't communicate to the lead that their cake budget is from Mars. Oh well...
Isn't it crazy how people spend tons of money on the event itself but when it comes to the cake they think they can budget less! I worked with a bride who lowered her serving amount due to having to add more tables/chairs/flowers at the reception site. I'm thinking.. you won't even have enough cake to serve!!
OMG !!! I so never knew such a site existed. Its awesome. thank you for sharing.
I just had a few laughs can't beat that
I don't like those leads, wedplan, Eventective, and there's another one I get those from all the time. I'm not going to PAY to contact these people. I figure, if they're serious, they're going to spend time online searching our area, and one of the first things they'll find anyway (for free), is ME.
I bought a few early on when they started coming to me, but they never even have the courtesy to write me back to say "thanks but we found a cake", so I refuse to buy them.
I get most of my orders from those sites. Yes, many of the budgets are unrealistic, but after talking to the brides they order. I think many brides start there without doing any pricing.
Actually, the budget is going to be $97.50, for you, since you're gonna have to spend 2.50 with eventective to buy that lead...
Oh believe me I didn't buy it. I hit the "No Thanks" button and when they ask you to mark the reason why, I marked other and It allows you to tell the person why you said no thanks. I said their budget is unrealistic and that Walmart would not even be able to help them at that price.
maybe they want to get a 6 in round and let the 400 guests taste a spoon of cake... OUTRAGEOUS!
I've never founds anythng useful about those lead sites at all. I agree that if someone is serious about looking for a cake, they'll find my website. If they're lazy they'll type in one entry through those lead sites and hit enter. That's not a good way to screen vendors.
I am with you on that Costume...I haven't had one paid lead end up becoming a consult let alone an actual order. I usually email them as most don't give phone contact information, then I never hear a thing. Sometimes I think the lead company puts bogus leads in just to make money. They make the lead sound good then when you purchase it you never hear anything back.
Don't many quincenaras have "sponsers" that provide stuff for the party? Maybe that's what they are hoping for so they can keep their budget so low

Ahhh, possibly! but then why would they register at an event site?
yep, i haven't had one eventective lead (that i paid for) contact me back! the ones who contact me through eventective that were free did contact me. i've stopped buying...most of the leads just don't make sense. "wedding for 200 on 4/13/2013 (who plans their wedding 3 years in advance?!)...total budget $1000, cake budget $50." there's no way one can convince a bride who was expecting to feed 200 for $50, that their base price is going to be $700...
