Here's my contribution. I got so excited when I seen the pot at Wal~Mart that I assembled without photographing the individual cookies. I was definitely inspired by the many 'groovy' looking flower cookies other CCers have shared (please, don't make me call them out by name...there's been so many on here and on Flickr!).

Now, I just gotta decide who to give it to...
(sugar cookie recipe with the Land O' Lakes butter package and royal icing thinned with light corn syrup and water) The large daisies were cut using the large pme gerber daisy plunger cutter all others basic round/scalloped/groovy flower cutters)

What a pretty bouquet! I agree that it is a great pot. And I love your tissue paper "leaves" -- very nice! The flowers are a pretty assortment of colors and designs. Thanks for sharing!

So when I found this thread all I wanted to do was go and make some spectacular cookies...Well, I tried! Can't say they are show stoppers, but for my First try at cookies like this, I guess they are ok. They are kind of random and don't match, but they tasted darn good! I saw some fabric online that kind gave me a bit of inspiration.

Chelseak - those are fabulous! My favorites are the skinny red and black trees! They are very creative!

Sort of Asian inspired. But, edgy. Very neat....

Awww Thanks! I had grand plans lol icon_biggrin.gif Apparently, decorating cookies is NOT a first try and you are as good as say, Rosie Sugar (on Flickr-omg she is awesome!) kind of thing icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I love cookies, and all the amazing cookie artists here on CC make me want to try new ones every day! Although if I did that, I would HAVE to give them all away or my poor waist would suffer dearly! HaHa icon_lol.gif

only a few days left in April... so far the cookies have been great...keep 'em coming!!

I'll start a new thread with the theme for May next weekend (May 1-2). Gemini gets to choose the theme for May because she was the first to post pictures in April.

Don't forget that the first person to post cookies in the May thread gets to choose the theme for June!
