Here's my contribution. I got so excited when I seen the pot at Wal~Mart that I assembled without photographing the individual cookies. I was definitely inspired by the many 'groovy' looking flower cookies other CCers have shared (please, don't make me call them out by name...there's been so many on here and on Flickr!).
Now, I just gotta decide who to give it to...
(sugar cookie recipe with the Land O' Lakes butter package and royal icing thinned with light corn syrup and water) The large daisies were cut using the large pme gerber daisy plunger cutter all others basic round/scalloped/groovy flower cutters)
WOW...all of these cookies are stunning! I just hope that one day I get half as good as you ladies.

You're being funny...I just looked at your gallery...you've surpassed that 'one day'...your cookies are beautiful!
What a pretty bouquet! I agree that it is a great pot. And I love your tissue paper "leaves" -- very nice! The flowers are a pretty assortment of colors and designs. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks ya'll!
It's enormous! I was going to donate it to the community table today..."...our office(?) hours are 9-5 monday, tuesday, thursday and friday...". I reckon I will try them tomorrow...
Thank you!
( I keep losing my place while I'm counting but it's in the area of 28, 3"-5" cookies)
So when I found this thread all I wanted to do was go and make some spectacular cookies...Well, I tried! Can't say they are show stoppers, but for my First try at cookies like this, I guess they are ok. They are kind of random and don't match, but they tasted darn good! I saw some fabric online that kind gave me a bit of inspiration.
They're beautiful, Chelsea!!! It's hard to believe that they're your first try -- you must be a natural
Chelseak - those are fabulous! My favorites are the skinny red and black trees! They are very creative!
Sort of Asian inspired. But, edgy. Very neat....
Those are very cool!! I've been trying to find time to get mine done, but I've been busy with orders and online tutorials -- I hope I get time to post something this month!
Awww Thanks! I had grand plans lol Apparently, decorating cookies is NOT a first try and you are as good as say, Rosie Sugar (on Flickr-omg she is awesome!) kind of thing
I love cookies, and all the amazing cookie artists here on CC make me want to try new ones every day! Although if I did that, I would HAVE to give them all away or my poor waist would suffer dearly! HaHa
chelseak,
those are fabulous! do you have any close-ups you can post? i would love to see more! are these royal icing or do they have fondant on them too?
diane
Chelseak, I love those! I especially love the red background with the trees. They have an oriental flair to them
I can't find Rosie sugar on flickr...do you have a link?
Is this her????

oh! my! word!
OMG! thank you for posting Rosey's page. What an incredible talent.
Too bad she is in Asia because man she could make a fortune teaching over here!!
Thank you for such a wonderful link and inspiration.
Rosey is so awesome! I love her....Did you see her Marie Antionette? The cameo on her cameo cake?!? OMG her sugar work is stunning.
drakegore - Thanks! They are all royal icing, no fondant. I do have a couple close ups but they are not that big.... here they are...
Thanks everyone for the compliments! I was really thinking they were kind of bleh, but everyone's nice comments are making me really want to try some more, more, more.. Thanks!!
only a few days left in April... so far the cookies have been great...keep 'em coming!!
I'll start a new thread with the theme for May next weekend (May 1-2). Gemini gets to choose the theme for May because she was the first to post pictures in April.
Don't forget that the first person to post cookies in the May thread gets to choose the theme for June!
Oh, goody! I am so looking forward to May's theme!
Me, too!!! I was wondering just this morning what it might be.
