I would like to try the Oreo BC and had a few questions.
First is it better just to use Oreo pieces or Oreo instant pudding mix in the BC?
Also, the cake will be sitting for a day and wondered if the Oreos get soft/soggy?
Does it taste better with vanilla or choc. cake?
I actually crunch up Oreos in my BC. I tend to make 1-2 days before cake will be delivered - and also crunch up in small pieces - to prevent getting soggy. I have used in vanilla and chocolate cakes and prefer to combo with chocolate cake... tastes like the cookie!!

I grind oreos up and add to buttercream. You can add some slightly larger pieces, but they will loose their crunch a bit. Still tastes good though. I like a nice dark chocolate cake recipe with this frosting. I also like a frosting with a bit of sourcream/creamcheese in it to give a contrasting tang to the sweetness of the oreos for this particular flavor profile.
Kids love it! big kids too
I just used an oreo/buttercream filling this weekend with a vanilla cake for my daughters birthday and it was awesome! Everyone loved it, even those who I thought wouldn't be too fond of it. Did just what everyone else said, crushed cookies up small, and stirred it into buttercream.
do you crush the oreos with the white filling inside or just the cookie without the creamy white filling??? I want to make it this weekend for the 1st time!
Definitely with the cream! It adds to the cookies and cream flavor, big time! And use real oreos, makes a biiiiiiiiiiig difference!
