The wedding cake I had yesterday was a total success! I went ahead with the buttercream stenciling since that is what I used before. The flowers on the cake are mmf roses and stargazers. I made the stargazers totally edible...no wire at all. I was pretty proud of that. Thank you again to those who helped with last minute jitters!

Gorgeous and love your flowers, too. Very good. Did you use SPS for stacking? What are your cake tier sizes?

That's beautiful. I just made my first stargazer, with wires, and had a hard time getting it together without breaking to pieces. How do you do it with no wires????great job thumbs_up.gif

Wow your cake is really stunning. I would like to know about the stargazers without wires. Can you give us some ideas.
Thanks!

I cut each one of the petals, then used edible glue to stick them together. I had cut an egg carton into 3rds( 4 cavities) and then turned it upside down. Dusted that with powder sugar and placed the petals in there. I made the stems out of spaghetti covered with mmf and let them dry. After a day of drying I dusted the flowers and then the next day I started glueing the stamens in and held them into place with toothpicks.
Yes, I do use the sps system. LOVE IT.
The sizes are 14,12,8,6.

Thank you all for such wonderful comments!!!!!!!!!
